Spencer Wayne Hepko was taken from us on July, 9th 2008 at the tender age of 9 years old. He was shot and killed by his mother who then turned the gun on herself. In the wake of this tragedy, we decided to start a foundation called "Spencer's Gift" to help families in the event of a serious injury or death to their child.
It has been reported to me that there will be a 2-part follow up on this story published in the Wenatchee World beginning Tuesday, July 22, 2008. I am anxiously waiting.
